Overview

The Money Box Legacy Builders program is an intensive 6-week adult financial literacy initiative designed to empower participants with the knowledge and tools needed to achieve financial stability and growth.
Participants will learn to manage current financial needs while planning for future goals. The curriculum includes topics like general investing, managing and rebuilding credit, setting up proper bank accounts, leveraging resources, shopping for value, and legacy planning for families. By the end of the program, participants will have:
- A personalized and utilized budget
- A debt repayment plan
- A legacy plan for their families
- A savings plan based on their finances and goals
- A credit action plan with counseling support

Outline

Each cohort will have its own social community created where participants can communicate, get resources, help, and celebrate their wins, fostering community and accountability. The program features facilitators from various industries who provide workshop-style learning, allowing participants to implement what they learn in real-time.
Sessions are conducted physically over two hours in the evening and offered quarterly by MBA. Success is measured through pre- and post-assessments, evaluating credit score increases, budget creations, transitioning underbanked clients to being properly banked, and debt reduction. The Money Box Legacy Builders program equips adults with the confidence and competence to manage their finances effectively, ensuring their income flows in alignment with their financial goals.
